This is my Texas flag that I made from weathered wood fence slates. I cut my slates the size that I wanted for my flag, then I lined them up, drilled my holes in each one, to fasten them together. I then drew off my pattern on the wood. Painted each slate and sealed. After it dried I used wire to connect each slate together, and added a wire to hang by. TaDa I now have a Texas flag.

I love your Texas flag! When we were in Texas in February, we got a metal Texas star to hang on our deck!

Thank you Dee. The metal stars are really popular. We have a couple of the too. I’m thinking about making a wood star and painting it red, white, and blue too. I seen one awhile back and it looked pretty cool.
