Hi All! Wanting to make some Patriotic Home Decor, and use up some of my stash on hand I came up with this Patriotic sign.

America, Patriotic Home Decor

This Patriotic sign was made from an old wood picture frame that I had picked up at Goodwill a while back, burlap, and some wood star cutouts that I’ve had for years.

How to Make Patriotic

Diy Patriotic Home Decor

To make your Patriotic home decor first paint your frame blue

How to Make Patriotic

Paint your red stripes onto the burlap.

Then stencil your letters “America”.

How to Make Patriotic

Stencil your stars on one end of burlap.

Paint all the wood stars white, two coats drying throughly between coats.

Kind of got out of step here, but it’s easier to get your burlap in place before you glue on your stars.

The glass from the frame will go behind the burlap. Place burlap over the back of the frame, as your pushing the glass down in place stretch the burlap to get it tight.

Once in place I ran some glue around the back side of frame, along glass and edges of burlap to secure. Sit something ontop to hold in place till the glue dries.

Flip over and glue on your wood stars. And that’s it, ready to hang or set on your mantle.
