Hi All! Don’t you love quick and easy crafts? I know I do, and this Diy Rustic Wood Snowman Block is super easy to make, and a great way to use up some scrap wood.
This diy rustic wood snowman block was a last minute idea for the craft mall.
I had a leftover piece of wood that I had already using my aging solution on, so I decided to make a quick snowman block to take with the rest of my Christmas goodies.

Easy Diy Rustic Wood Snowman Block
I first dry brushed some white paint onto the wood block, leaving some of the aged wood showing through.
The next step was to paint a face on my rustic snowman. You can get some cute ideas from Pinterest.
Next I cut a piece of scrap fabric and hot glued it around the top part of the block for the hat. Then I added a little gold bell to the hat by threading it on a doubled piece of thread and tying it around the upper portion of the fabric hat.
Next came the arms that I made from wire. Then drilled two holes on each side for the arms, and squirted some glue in each hole and added the wire arms.
Quick, easy, and cute!

AWWW how adorable! I love the little arms!

Thank you Hannah! I was going to make them out of twigs, but I decided on wire because wire will last forever.

Linda, you need to write an e-book “100 Ways to use a piece of wood”. You do some really cool things with scraps, your painting skills are awesome, I love the eyes, they are always so happy. I can imagine that your home is so well decorated during the holidays, isn’t it???
Linda @ Mixed Kreations says
Thank you Nikki! One day I do hope to write an e-book, but not sure on what yet. As for the holiday’s, since we are still remodeling our house we haven’t really decorated for the holiday’s since we moved in. Most of the things that I make are either a special order, or I take to my booth at the antique/craft mall to sell.

He is totally adorable Linda. Love his hat it makes him look like a friendly, huggable little scrooge snowman

Thanks Michelle! He is a friendly little snowman, not so sure if he’s huggable. You will have to watch out for his wiry arms. LOL
