Here's a couple of rustic signs I made to go over the doors in our newly remodeled foyer.
I cut two piece of wood off a cedar fence slat. One 24" in length, and the other 34".
Then I sanded the edges, and sides that I was going to stencil the words on.
Next I applied my wood aging mixture, to front, back, and sides of both pieces of wood.
Oops! I forgot to take some pictures )-;
I then stenciled the words on my pieces of wood, and added my metal crosses.
One of the pieces was just a little to long, so I had to much extra space on the ends. I fixed that problem by tearing strips of fabric, aging the fabric, then making a couple of primitive bows. One for each side.
