Here is my first faux clock that I made out of one of my thrift store finds.

Here is the Cutting Board Faux Clock in my kitchen sitting on my rustic cedar shelf that I had made. (Notice the scraped ceiling, we are removing the popcorn). Tutorial for shelf coming soon!
This thrifty find was still in its original packaging so I used my magic mix to age it. Then I drew the little hen and painted it with acrylics, and stenciled the numbers on.
The numbers 10 & 11 are a little close but overall I think it turned out pretty cute.
Have you made any faux clocks?

Thank you Katherine! And thanks for the invite!
Totally cute! The closest I’ve come is to start with making some clocks from sawblades. They are a project that is still sitting waiting…
Thank you Jacki! Oh I totally understand that, I have lots of projects started but waiting to be finished.
How adorable! What a cute project. 🙂
Thank you! It was a fun and easy project.
So fun!
Thanks Evelyne! (-;
It turned out great! I am a clock fanatic — we have one in every room in our house, more for decoration than for telling time. I love the idea of making one from a cutting board. Even though I know yours is “faux” I think it could easily be transformed to a working clock too. Love it! Thanks for linking it up at This Is How We Roll Thursday.
