We decided our baby Dakota needed a play mate. Another kitty to keep her company when we are away.
So off to the animal shelter, there we found Boots. A pretty little wild thing about 2-3 months old.
We brought her home introduced her to Dakota, and they did the normal cat hissing thing.
Boots ran off, Dakota gave us the evil eye and wouldn’t let us get near her without biting and scratching.
I have never had a cat as jealous as she has been. Well Boots disappeared for two days. I looked everywhere for her.
I had her in the sun room with something blocking the doorway and figured she must of somehow climbed over. So I unblocked the opening so she could get to her food, water, and litter box.
The third day I finally found her she was hiding in one of my planters. Not this one but another where she was able to get down under the plants branches and leaves, and was pretty much invisible.
I just happen to walk by and seen a little bit of white, I went for a closer look and there was boots. I moved the planter but she found another to hide in.
She is still skittish, but now comes out and plays with Dakota’s toy’s. Dakota just stares at her now, like what’s that crazy little cat doing. I think she wants to play with her now but just not ready to give in yet.
So we’re hoping in a few days they will be best buds.
