This small Diy vintage zebra print block with cross was a very easy project made somewhat like the larger vintage wood blocks that I made a few weeks ago. Except I used fabric here instead of scrapbook paper.
- Cut your fabric slightly smaller then the wood block
- Burn the edges of your fabric using your wood burner.
- Glue it to your wooden block using Mod Podge.
- While that’s drying take your metal cross and paint it with your turquoise paint.
- Once the cross dries use your black acrylic paint, watered down some, then paint over the turquoise getting into the grooves. Let set a few seconds then lightly wipe off the black leaving it in the grooves.
- Drill a hole in the top for your vintage pull knob, add a dap of wood glue to hold it in place.
- Now glue your cross on, let dry and that’s it.

This is really cute! I’m trying to spice up our living room a little bit. There is just no color in there. We haven’t decorated at all since we moved in, and the walls are bare. I love that little cross!

Thank you Veronika! This is an easy project, and can be made to match any decor.

I have gone through fabric printing so far, so printing on wood is quite new to me but I’ll keep it in my list and try it for my personal thing.
I Loved this post!!

This is so cute Linda! I love the addition of the cross and the turquoise paint really makes that pop!

Thank you Florence! This is just one of my many block decor projects, and one of my favorites. The cross was just plain and I thought that it needed a little extra color, and turquoise is one of my favs. 😉
