These wooden diy fall pumpkins are really easy to make and you can make them whatever size you want. Paint any color, and decorate any way that you chose.
I will walk you through the steps that I used to make these diy fall pumpkins.

Diy Fall Pumpkins
To make your diy fall pumpkins you first need to drill a hole in the top center of each block of wood.
Paint your blocks, I chose orange for my pumpkins.
Lightly sand the edges of your wood.
So that the wood shows through some. You can scruff up the sides too if you are looking for an even more rustic look.
Break your cinnamon sticks in half or thirds to make th stems for your diy fall pumpkins.
Add a drop of glue in each hole and place the cinnamon sticks into the holes and pressing down gently.
Let the cinnamon sticks dry completely before adding the fabric strips and raffia.
Lay out 2 of your 9″ fabric strips, and 2-3 pieces of raffia. Then wrap your wire tightly around the center a couple times to hold together.
Using a pencil wrap the end of your wire around it to form a spiral for the curling Tendril.
Use a Q-tip to add the green patina to the Tendril.
Using your 18″ fabric strip to secure each fabric/raffia/Tendril piece in place by wrapping it around the cinnamon stick, then tying a bow. Tie secure but not to tight or you will crack the cinnamon stick.
Bend your wire Tendril however you like, trim raffia if needed and your diy fall pumpkins are good to go.
These would look super cute sitting on a mantle, or if you made a larger version they would look great on the porch.

- 3 pieces of wood cut different lengths
- 3 pieces of wire 10″
- 6 fabric strips 9″
- 3 fabric strips 18″
- 9-12 pieces of raffia 10″-15″
- Cinnamon sticks
- Green Patina for metal
- Wire cutters
- Pliers
- Q-tip
- Wood glue
- Drill & bit size of cinnamon sticks
- Sandpaper
