I seen these cute bracelets made from stretchy hair bands awhile back, then I ran across this tutorial the other day at “I Spy DIY”.
My teenage granddaughter is in town with her dads family over the holiday’s. I’m going to get her for a few hours, so I had to make her one of these chain and hair tie bracelets. I know she will love it.
I’m going to change it up a bit. My granddaughter loves owls, so I am adding a owl charm and a pearl to her bracelet. I am also adding a bead to the hair tie to hold it together.
These bracelets are so easy to make, and so cute, you can make several in no time at all.
Below are the steps to make your own.
Tools Needed
2 chain nose pliers
1 round nose pliers
Supplies
Chain
Stretchy hair band tie
Headpin
Pearl
Charm
Split Jumpring
Large hole bead
This was a last minute bead that I decided to add.
First open the end link of your chain and connect the hair tie and close the link.
Now add the large hole bead to your hair tie.
Place bead on headpin and do a simple wire wrapped loop.
Then add both charm and beaded wrapped loop to a opened chain link.
Place other end of chain in your opened chain link.
Now place the opposite end of your hair tie into the open chain link and close the link.
That’s it. Quick and simple bracelet.
You can change these up by using different color hair ties, chain, add charms, beads, etc.
