Hi All! I’m sorry I missed last weeks post, but hopefully I’m back on track sharing the few things that we picked up while on our latest junkin trip a few days ago in More Junk for Our Outdoor Vintage Garden.
But first a quick update on my daughter that had surgery almost two weeks ago. My daughter had to have a hysterectomy because she had endometriosis. It was so bad that she had to have a complete hysterectomy, and they even had to remove her appendix as well. The endometriosis was covering all her female parts, and her bowel was attached to her ovary. Poor little thing, no wonders she was in pain. I know endometriosis is very painful, because I had it as well and had my hysterectomy at the age of 30.
She is doing well, but it is going to take longer for her to recover than the doctor had first thought because how bad it was. It was supposed to be a day surgery, but she ended up having to stay overnight because of low blood pressure. Once she was released her hubby went ahead and took on a 4 ½ hour drive home. They decided that it would be best to take her home while she was still on strong meds for pain. So now she is home where she can be comfortable while recovering. Just wish that she was closer so I was able to help her more.
Junk for Our Outdoor Vintage Garden
Thursday the hubby and I were both off so we decided to take a ride to Waxahachie to the Red Barn. An antique/junk shop that a work buddy had told him about.
Nice little town where we found not only the Red Barn Junk shop but quit a few other antique junk shops around the town square.
Being the cheap person that I am, I only found three items. A ladder for $15, minnow bucket $6.50, and a lantern for $7. The minnow bucket and lantern will probably go in our Outdoor Vintage Garden, and the blue ladder will be use to start another vintage vignette in another part of the yard.
Just gives me an excuse to go junkin some more. After all I will be needing more junk for another junk garden I’m making. 😉
Do you like to go junkin? If so what kind of fun stuff have you scored lately?
