I love anything that has to do with nature, and the other day I was looking at different technique’s using polymer clay. When I ran across this nature inspired polymer clay pendant at “Happy Hour Projects“. It looks like a pretty easy technique, but so far polymer clay and I haven’t been getting along.
Here lately I have been giving it another go, once I found out that you can paint polymer clay and get some beautiful pieces. No blending of different colors of clay involved at all, just clay and acrylic paint. Oh and some texturing.
This natural inspired pendant is one example of using acrylic paint with polymer clay, except you are wiping the excess off. You just want to fill in the veins of the leaf, so that it will stand out.
You could even paint the clay one color, then once dry go back over with a darker color getting into the leafs veins and wiping off the excess.
Either way you choose I’m sure it would be very pretty. You can find the tutorial for the beautiful nature inspired pendant at Happy Hour Projects. So give it a try, I know I am!
