I’ve been playing with polymer clay again. Trying some different technique’s that I’ve seen, since I’m not very good with the blending of the clay.
I enjoyed making these beads. The hard part was the conditioning of the clay.
I made a necklace and bracelet with the beads I made. Check them out below.
Polymer Clay Necklace
While the clay plank was still warm from the oven, I placed it over a glass jar to cool and form a curve, so that it would fit the wrist better.
I used my dremel tool to carve “Dream” onto the clay plank.
I like how they turned out. There different then the polymer clay jewelry that I am use to seeing. And that I can’t seem to conquer.
What do you think?

What kind of clay did you use? And what is conditioning? I have horrible luck w polymer clay.
How do you keep it from breaking?
Linda @ Mixed Kreations says
Hi Casi! I used Sculpey polymer clay, and for conditioning, you have to work it till it’s soft. You can use your hands but will take a while, or use a pasta machine to roll it over and over till it’s pliable. Polymer clay and I have a love-hate relationship. I would get so frustrated with it that I finally gave up with it. But for the breaking that’s probably because it hasn’t been conditioned enough. One of these days I will give it another try. Thanks for stopping by, and I hope you have better luck with it than I. 🙂
