You Are Loved Sign
This You Are Loved wood sign is like another that I had made a while back that my hubby hung above the doorway of the wet bar.
My son inlaw kept telling me that he was going to take it home with him. So guess what he got for his Birthday this year? You guessed it, a “You Are Loved” wood sign.

Like most things that I make I take pictures so that I can make a tutorial to share with you, so that you can make one for yourself if you desire.
How To Make A You Are Loved Wood Sign
Square your wood up on the trim and pre drill holes.
Add some glue on trim and square up and screw down. Once you get the first squared and screwed down the rest fall in place easy.
Add more glue
then screw down next board.
Repeat
Adding glue for each board until you get all the boards
glued and screwed down in place
Now your ready to start painting your You Are Loved wood sign by dry brushing some white acrylic paint here and there.
But don’t cover completely.
Now dry brush your colors on your boards. One color per board.
Once everything was dry I tried something a little different. I now added my magic wood aging solution to darken and age my wood, and paint.
This next step you will need a large heart to trace around, unless you are good at drawing freehand hearts. I just cut one out of newspaper.
Using your white acrylic, paint your heart however thick you want it.
This next step you can write your wording freehand or write it on paper then use carbon paper to trace it off in place.

Using your black acrylics paint the letters of your You Are Loved Wood Sign.
That’s all there is to it. The son in-law loved it, and it’s now hanging in the kitchen.

Linda, you’ve done it again. I can see why the son-in-law wanted to steal your sign. Lol it is really cool. I love the colors with the bit of whitewash and the aging. It makes it look really old and rustic, but fun at the same time. Great job as always.
