Breakfast Nook

We moved into our house at the end of May, and have been working on it pretty much on a daily basis. After we get home from work.

On our days off one of those days is used on yard work, washing and cooking lunches for the week. So it has been slow goes. But we are getting there (-;

The breakfast nook is the latest to receive a makeover. The picture above, and right below are the before pictures.

Notice the dark mauve walls, and horrible light fixture.

Below are the after pictures.

I think this color looks so much better then the mauve. What do you think?

IMG_5737.JPG
I changed out the cheap blinds for the dark wood blinds. Much better don't you think?

I haven't decided whether to add a valance, or put shear curtains up, or just leave it.

Here's my new light fixture. Love it!

Did you notice above that the counter top was changed from pink Formica to granite. Big improvement.

If you look at the picture above with the mirror, you can see my next project in the mirror (and I am not looking forward to it, been putting it off). The kitchen cabinets )-; and there is a lot of them. Double )-; )-;

Coming soon our Texas room/ den.
