I got my inspiration for making this grungy diy altered art bottle from Marinela's blog "Martinel Art".
I am not sure what materials that Marinela used in her altered art bottle, so I just improvised.
To make this grungy diy altered art bottle you will need a glass bottle, coffee dyed fabric, mod podge, paint brush, scrapbook paper, ribbon, chain, and a small jewelry frame or another embellishment of your choice.
First cut you a round piece of fabric to cover the bottom of the bottle. Apply a thick coat of mod podge to bottom of your bottle, then add the round piece of fabric, pressing it down and smoothing it to the bottom of your bottle.
Once the bottom is dry flip right side up. You will start at top of your bottle and work your way down.
Apply a thick coat of mod podge on the top part of your bottle.
Take a strip of your fabric and start wrapping and twisting the fabric as you go around the bottle, making sure to cover the glass. Pressing it down into the mod podge.
Continue applying mod podge when needed, and keep working your way down the bottle wrapping and twisting your fabric.
For the lip of the bottle just cut you some small fabric pieces, and mod podge them on.
Once your bottle completely covered and dry, add a coat of mod podge over the entire piece and let dry.
Using mod podge glue a small piece of scrapbook paper into your jewelry frame.
Attach some chain to each side of your frame.
Using another piece of chain, connect it together just large enough to fit the neck of your bottle. But small enough where it doesn't slide down the bottle.
Connect your jewelry frame chain, to the chain around the neck of the bottle.
Add your ribbon, and you'd done.
You now have a beautiful altered art bottle that can be added to your home decor, or even used as a vase.
