As some of you know already, we have started doing some remodeling on our house. My husband and I are both from the country. (Or what you can call country around here, outside of city limits).

We bought this house three years ago so that we could be closer to work, and I love being 15 minutes from work, but we both miss the country.

I have always had a large garden (don't have room here). And I have always had whatever animals I wanted (goats, chickens, ducks, pot belly pigs, cats, rabbit, and a horse. Can't have them here.

Not saying that I am going to get that many again. At least not at first. Probably just a kitty at first to keep our two chihuahua mix's company. They going to love that (-;

Well anyway back to the foyer remodel. I'm always forgetting to take before pictures. But I did get it before we went to far.

We are cutting out the rounded archway, putting in folding doors, crown molding, replacing plexiglass with solid oak panel with small window and painting the coat closet door.

Here's the new folding doors.

Here's the faux crown molding.

Now we are going to remove the plexiglass panel beside the front door and replace with a solid oak panel with a small window. Then replacing some of the trim around the door.

Sorry my pictures aren't to good. No matter what angle I tried the light coming in was just to bright.

Plexiglass is out, and new panel is in. Now for new trim around door and panel.

Here's a better picture since it's dark now.

Tomorrow we add the privacy window tint stuff, to make it difficult to see in.

Privacy tint is on. Below is a picture of the panel from the outside.

Coat closet is painted, and the base boards have fresh paint too!

YAY!!! This remodel is over. Time to move to next project.

What do you think?⬇
