I finally got around to making some homemade energy protein bites. I searched Pinterest for recipes but couldn’t settle on one pacific recipe.

So I came up with my own homemade energy protein bites recipe by combining a little from each recipe and adjusting the measurements.

Ingredients Needed

  • 1 cup quick oats
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup crunchy peanut butter
  • 1 tablespoon ground flax seed
  • 3 scoops of protein powder
  • 1 tablespoons vanilla
  • 1/2 teaspoon sea salt
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil
  • 1/2 cup dates
  • 1/4 cup almond slivers
  • 1/3 cup chopped pecans
  • 2 tablespoons pumpkin seeds
  • 1/4 cup blueberries
  • 1/4 cup sunflower seeds
  • 2 tablespoons of water

Mix together all ingredients except fruit and nuts in large bowl. Once this is mixed well you can start adding the fruits and nuts.

Spread a piece of wax paper on top a cookie sheet then start making 1 – 1 1/4″ balls. Makes approximately 30 balls.

Once all your homemade energy protein bites are made place them in the refrigerator until they are firm then transfer to a container that can be sealed.

That’s it! Just grab one when you feeling a little hungry between meals and need a little pick me up.

Have you made any energy bites? If so please share in the comments below.

Thank you Winnie! These were the first time I ever made them. I couldn’t find a recipe that I really wanted to try, so I just made up my own by combining a little from several different recipes, and they turned out really yummy. The hubby loves them.
