Here’s a easy DIY project. Repurposing this glass Snapple bottle into a shabby chic vase.

I knew when I found this Snapple bottle left behind from a nephew that was dog and house sitting that I was going to turn this bottle with the nice big raised letter “S” into a pretty vase.

The raised letter “S” just leaped out and spoke to me. (-;

I thought that I had taken pictures of each step but I couldn’t find them, so I will just walk you through how I made my shabby chic vase.

First I spray painted the bottle black.

Then I used my Annie Sloans chalk paint.

Once dry, I lightly sanded to remove some of the chalk paint so that the grey would show through. I modge podged an old vintage label onto the bottle.

IMG_5615-0.PNGFastened a small chain and charm around the neck of the bottle, added a piece of lace ribbon,a torn piece of fabric, and a fabric flower with pearls that I had made.

How do you like my shabby chic vase?

    I love your shabby chic vase Linda. Don’t you just hate it when you make something so awesome and then the pictures disappear. I’m glad you could show the finished project though and the explanation was great

      Thank you Michelle! I love this bottle because of the raised S.

      I was so stressed over the loss of my blog photos and bluehost said that they couldn’t be recovered. I found a computer tech that was able to recover most, then I switched hosting services.
