Super Simple Valentine Décor
For this project I started off by giving the wood heart a coat of white chalk paint.
Next, I traced the heart off onto the back of some scrapbook paper and cut it out a little larger.
Then add a coat of Mod Podge to one side of the simple Valentine Day décor heart and attach the scrapbook paper heart smoothing it down preventing any wrinkles.
Once dry use the craft sander and sand off the overlapping edges and distress the edges of the heart. Wipe off the dust then add a coat of Mod Podge to both sides.
While you’re waiting for the heart to dry. Take the wood pieces out and drill holes through the three pieces large enough for the twine to go through.
Drill a hole in the top center edge of the heart for the twine as well.
Cut off a piece of twine about 12” to 13” in length and glue one end into the wood heart using wood glue.
Let dry then string the beads and wood pieces onto the twine in the order of your choosing.
Tie a loop on the other end of the twine for hanging and that is it for this super simple Valentine décor project.

The beads and stick combo does it for me, Linda and we have a whole bunch of little ones that we bought for our guinea pig to nibble on. She didn’t enjoy them, so now have something to play around with.

Lol. I’m glad that they left them for you to play around with. Can’t wait to see how they are used.
