One of the hubbies favorite candy bars is the Almond Joy, and I had some leftover coconut flakes from another recipe. So I decided to surprise him by coming up with a recipe “Chocolate Almond Coconut Bites” that would taste something like the Almond Joy bar.
How To Make Chocolate Almond Coconut Bites
1. First place the chocolate morsels in a microwave safe bowl. Microwave in 30 second intervals, until the chocolate morsels are soft.
2. Add the coconut flakes, and almond slivers to the bowl of melted chocolate morsels.

3. Mix everything together.
4. Place a piece of waxed or parchment paper onto a cookie sheet, and then drop the chocolate mixture using small spoonful at a time onto the wax paper.
5. Go back and add one whole almond on top of each spoonful of chocolate.
6. Place cookie sheet into the refrigerator or freezer for chocolate to harden.
Once the chocolate almond coconut bites are hard you can remove them and place them into a plastic bag.
Keep refrigerated.
The hubby loved his chocolate almond coconut bites and they were so easy to make.

Yum, yum, I can feel myself getting fat, but at least my taste buds are happy!!

LOL! I know right. I have limited us to one a day after dinner, and so far the hubby is sticking to that. Seems to be satisfying his taste buds.

Ha! You are seriously asking what my favorite chocolate is? I had to laugh when I read that because I don’t think I’ve ever met a chocolate that I didn’t like. Except maybe chocolate covered grasshoppers. And thankfully I’ve only run into them once. Lol I love chocolate and coconut throw an almond on it and I am a happy camper. I am pinning your recipe I am definitely going to make these whether anyone else in my family likes them or not! More for me.

Chocolate grasshoppers, Yuck! I’ve seen those before and chocolate covered ants as well. Double yuck!!! Who ever came up with that is nuts. I love my chocolate, but I don’t need any bugs to go with it. We’ve been eating on these for about two weeks now. There our after dinner treat (limit one a day or the hubby would eat them all). I like these, but my is my homemade chocolate turtles (which I have to redo because I lost my pictures on it). Those are the ones I hide. LOL

so, you might not have known this, but Almond Joys are my FAVORITE candy! And here you are telling me I can make them at home! You’ve made my day, no…you’ve made my WEEK!
Thanks Linda

LOL! My hubby favorite is the almond joy as well, so with the left over chocolate and coconut I thought that I would give it a try. Didn’t think it could be that difficult to make. May not look the same, but taste pretty close to it and so easy to make.
